Lugulu Friends Mission Hospital

Africa Healthcare Network signed a deal with Friends Lugulu Mission Hospital to build a state-of-the-art dialysis center in Bungoma County, Kenya. The new center will be located in the Western region of Kenya.

Lugulu has a long heritage within the community having been established in 1913 by the Quaker Missionaries in the densely populated Bungoma County. It is faith-based facility located along the Busy Webuye – Kitale Road, owned and operated by the Local Yearly Meeting with Friends (LYMWF) around the world.

The unit will be outfitted with state-of-the-art dialysis machines and a new Reverse Osmosis Unit, as well as Wi-Fi and TV for its dialysis guests. We are extremely thrilled to start this journey with the Lugulu team!

Unlike many dialysis centers in Africa that use old, refurbished machines, all AHN centers are outfitted with brand-new machines, reverse osmosis systems, and other top-of-the-line equipment imported from Japan, Europe, and the USA. Likewise, we import high quality medications including erythropoietin, iron sucrose, heparin, and XXXXX from the leading pharmaceutical companies, just as patients receive in the top dialysis centers globally.
